Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the US Diagnostics Center (USDC) website, purchasing a DNA test, or submitting a sample for analysis, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms govern all services provided by USDC, including paternity and other relationship testing, as well as related administrative and support activities. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not access our website or use our services.
Purpose of Services
US Diagnostics Center (USDC) provides non–chain-of-custody DNA testing for informational and personal knowledge purposes only. These tests are not intended for use in legal, court, or immigration proceedings and are not collected under verified chain-of-custody conditions.
The accuracy of results depends on proper sample collection, labeling, and submission according to the instructions provided by USDC. Clients are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied is accurate and that samples are collected in accordance with guidelines provided. USDC does not verify the identity of individuals submitting samples for non–chain-of-custody testing and assumes no responsibility for misidentified or mislabeled specimens.
Payment and Refund Policy
Payment for all DNA testing services must be made in full at the time of ordering. Orders will not be processed or shipped until payment has been successfully received and confirmed by US Diagnostics Center (USDC).
Once a collection kit has been shipped or released for pickup, the order becomes final, and no refunds, cancellations, or chargebacks will be permitted. This policy applies regardless of whether the client completes sample collection or returns the kit.
In cases where USDC determines that a replacement kit is necessary due to damage or shipping error, a replacement may be issued at no additional cost. Refunds will only be considered if USDC is unable to fulfill the order due to circumstances beyond its control.
Sample Ownership and Retention
By submitting a sample to US Diagnostics Center (USDC), you represent that you have full legal authority to do so and that appropriate consent has been obtained from all tested individuals or their lawful guardians. Upon receipt, samples are maintained under the custody of USDC for the duration of laboratory testing and for any period required by accreditation, regulatory, or recordkeeping standards.
Following completion of testing, residual samples may be retained for quality assurance, validation, or staff training purposes, or they may be securely destroyed at regular intervals once retention requirements have been satisfied. All biological materials are handled, stored, and disposed of in accordance with strict internal policies and applicable professional standards to ensure confidentiality and integrity.
US Diagnostics Center (USDC) reserves the right to adjust pricing, service fees, or payment terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will apply only to future orders placed after the effective date of the update.
Confidentiality and Reporting
US Diagnostics Center (USDC) maintains the confidentiality of all client records, personal information, and genetic data in accordance with applicable federal and state privacy requirements. Test results are released only to the authorized parties identified at the time of submission or as otherwise mandated by law, regulation, or court order.
Each report is prepared exclusively for the designated recipient and may not be reproduced, distributed, or modified without the express written authorization of USDC. All data storage, transmission, and reporting activities are conducted under strict security and confidentiality controls to ensure the integrity of all client information.
Accuracy and Limitations
At US Diagnostics Center (USDC), we use advanced DNA testing technology and strict quality control procedures to ensure each analysis is performed with precision and reliability. However, the accuracy of results depends on the quality and integrity of the samples we receive.
Improper collection, contamination, or mislabeling of samples may lead to inconclusive results or delays in testing. All findings are based solely on the samples and information submitted to the laboratory and are intended to be interpreted within the context of the testing performed. Results should not be considered legal, medical, or diagnostic advice beyond the stated purpose of the analysis.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, US Diagnostics Center (USDC) shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, our services, reports, or website. USDC’s responsibility is limited solely to the accurate processing of samples as received.
In no event shall USDC’s total liability exceed the amount paid for the specific testing service that gave rise to the claim. USDC is not responsible for damages or claims resulting from sample contamination, mislabeling, tampering, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the services provided by US Diagnostics Center (USDC), the parties shall first make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter informally through negotiation. If an agreement cannot be reached between the parties, such dispute shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration in the State of Ohio in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). The arbitration shall be conducted by one neutral arbitrator, and the resulting award shall be final and binding upon the parties and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction. Each party shall be responsible for its own attorneys’ fees and costs unless otherwise required by law or awarded by the arbitrator.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by, and shall be interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the State of Ohio, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Any legal proceeding or action that is not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the appropriate state or federal courts located within the State of Ohio.
In cases where USDC determines that a replacement kit is necessary due to damage or shipping error, a replacement may be issued at no additional cost. Refunds will only be considered if USDC is unable to fulfill the order due to circumstances beyond its control.
Policy Updates
US Diagnostics Center (USDC) reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time to remain compliant with applicable laws, evolving industry standards, or organizational requirements. The revised Terms and Conditions will be made available on the company’s official website, and the effective date of the latest version will be indicated therein. Continued use of USDC’s services following any such updates shall constitute acceptance of the revised terms.
